Nichibei Lecture Series – June 2014

The next Nichibei Lecture Series will take place on June 24th, 2014.  Dr. Hiroshi Nakato, an Associate Professor of the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development at the University of Minnesota will be giving a presentation on the topic of Model Organism “Zoo”. Model organisms are animals that are extensively studied in the life sciences to understand particular biological phenomena. History and current progress of the life sciences through these powerful, and sometimes adorable animals will be discussed at the lecture.

The lecture will be presented in Japanese.

Cost:             $10 for JASM members; $15 for non-members;
Free admission for university students for this particular event. (Please bring your student I.D.)

We would like to suggest you use a public parking ramp if attending this event in that parking on side streets is limited around campus. The Washington Avenue Ramp across the street from the MCB (Molecular and Cellular Biology) Building is a great option if you are driving to this event.
