The JASM Professional Group (JPG) career event seeks to connect Japan-related business professionals from various fields to both college students and recent graduates who are pursuing Japan-focused careers.  This annual event features presentations from industry professionals and ample networking opportunities.  This year, the event is focus on Japanese language related jobs.   Com join us to get tips and hear bout different paths to Japan related career from the professionals!!

A native of Japan, Aki Ito has been working in various activities such as sales management, operations management, project management, Japanese language management and consulting, and translation memory tool management. Aki has served on the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) board of directors in 2005-2006 and as chairman of the board in 2006. Has an MBA in international marketing and a BA in international relations. He has involvement in the localization industry since 1996 and former account executive at Dell Computer in the United States and Japan.

Mario Acito: JETAAMN Representative

Mario is a Saint Paul native and participated on JET in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture.  He now works technical communications for Boston Scientific.  He is a lover of all things Japanese and Strives to bring the things he loves about Japan back home.

 

 

unnamedAlan Gardiner: Principal Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Medtronic

Alan has been working in an international division since 2007 and currently focused on the Japan and South Korea markets. He has served as a leader of the Asian employee resource group “AIM” (Asian Impact at Medtronic) and on the Global Regulatory Organization. Alan has a BA in Japan Studies, a MS in Engineering Technical Japanese from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and holds a Regulatory Affairs Certificate, Global Scope.
