Corporate Roundtable  Speaker: Gabrielle Gerbaud, Executive Director, Minnesota Trade Office and Chief Protocol Officer – State of Minnesota

In February, we are very pleased to welcome Gabrielle Gerbaud to speak about her role as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Trade Office. Ms. Gerbaud will share initiatives that she is developing to support the relationship U.S. – Japan relationship and to increase trade between Minnesota and Japan. She will discuss how the Minnesota Trade Office views Japan as a key partner in its overall trade initiatives.

Gabrielle Gerbaud began her work as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Trade Office (MTO) in April 2017. In her role as the Director, Ms. Gerbaud leads the developing of international marketing plans, furthering the educational programs of the trade office and organizing trade missions with her regional trade managers. She also is the “chief of protocol for the State of Minnesota and is the State’s liaison to Minnesota’s diplomatic consular corps”.

Ms. Gerbaud has much international trade and business experience. Prior to becoming the Executive Director of the Minnesota Trade Office, Ms. Gerbaud worked in international sales and operations for Polaris Industries. Before coming to the U.S., Ms. Gerbaud worked extensively in Spain, France and Portugal in international sales for private industry. She also served as the International Relations Manager for E.N. Mercasa, an organization that is responsible for food policy within the Ministry of Agriculture of Spain. Ms. Gerbaud’s work involved managing the food distribution processes for export of Spain to countries such as China, Senegal and the Ivory Coast. Ms. Gerbaud also served on the Board of Directors of MercaValencia and was the key representative between Spain and the World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM).

We look forward to the presentation by Ms. Gerbaud and the discussion of the initiatives her team is developing to enhance the strong trade relationship that Minnesota enjoys with Japan. Please join us for an informative presentation!
