Celebrating the Gift of Cherry Trees from Japan

Enjoy Japanese and cherry blossom related treats while
listening to Harisen Daiko, watching Japanese dance
by Sansei Yonsei Kai, and a kendo demonstration by
Minnehaha Kendo Club.  Mirja Hanson, former
Honorary Consul General of Japan at Minneapolis, will
talk about the history of ‘sakura’ (cherry trees) in Japan
and the United States.  Guests from Nagasaki University and Metropolitan State University.

Drawing for $50 Bachman’s gift certificate, many
cherry-themed crafts, all free!

Volunteers Needed!

Help with setup (8 a.m.) and takedown (11:30 a.m.) on Saturday, June 2.  Also, people to lead craft activities.
