Join us in March for our Sake Tasting event! The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and JASM are hosting this event where you will be able to try many varieties of sake, socialize, network, learn about sake and most importantly have fun! During the event, sake expert from Sake Story, Chris Griese will be giving a presentation to help you better appreciate the sake you will be tasting. Chris received his Advanced Sake Professional Level II Certificate in Tokyo, 2010. On Tuesday, February 19th, JASM members and non-members alike are welcome to participate in our second “Know Me Kai Club” event at Sakura Restaurant & Bar at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st floor (wheelchair accessible). As with the previous event in October, “Know Me Kai Club” provides very open networking opportunities for everyone. J-Quiz 2019

On Saturday, February 16th, 2019, high school students from all over Minnesota will gather together to put their knowledge of Japanese Language and Culture to the test! Teams of students from each school will compete in 4 levels of difficulty. Students will first write an essay, then participate in a preliminary round of questions regarding Japanese Language and Culture. The winners of the Final Rounds are sent to Washington D.C. to compete in the national Japan Bowl and attend the Sakura Festival.
