Aikido of Minnesota is a family centered Japanese based martial arts training dojo. Aikido of Minnesota provides classes for children youth, families, and adults at our dojo in St. Paul.
The BBAM is an industry-led action-based nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of bioscience-related industries to create jobs for the citizens of Minnesota.
Since 1993 this civic organization has built a flourishing relationship between Bloomington and its Japanese counterpart, Izumi City, sponsoring programs and events that foster the flow of culture, ideas, commerce, and amity between the two cities.
- To serve as a support network for returning and past participants in the JET Program by providing a social and informative resource foundation that may facilitate the participants re-integration into Minnesota and allow all past participants to share the skills and knowledge they acquired while on the program.
- To continue the JET Program’s mission of promoting the exchange of Japanese culture by functioning as an organization that enhances the opportunities available in the Twin Cities and the greater Minnesota area for Japanese cultural exchange.

JETRO has provided information and support to American companies entering the Japanese market for over 50 years. The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) serves as a home for the study of Asia, both for broad comparative and cultural studies of the history, literature, film, art, music, and society in Asia, and for the more focused study of Japanese or Chinese language and culture. The department thus offers an interdisciplinary major and minor in Asian Studies (with a focus on China, Japan, or South Asia), a major and minor in Japanese Language and Culture, and a major and minor in Chinese Language and Culture. Students may study in Asia on a variety of approved study abroad programs, and live in Chinese or Japanese language houses. Language proficiency along with a sophisticated grasp of specific Asian cultures is a primary goal for ALC majors. Non-majors may take a variety of courses in English which treat the many cultures in South, Southeast, Central and East Asia.
The Minneapolis Japanese School was established by a group of parents and guardians of school age children from Japanese backgrounds for the purpose of teaching their children the Japanese language, culture and traditions, to enrich their cross-cultural skills and help them to adjust smoothly to age-appropriate classes when they return to Japan. The classes consist of Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Saint Paul RiverCentre opened its doors in May 1998 to complement the existing Roy Wilkins Auditorium and Saint Paul Civic Center. Shortly after opening, the Civic Center was demolished and ground was broken to build Xcel Energy Center. Since 1998, Saint Paul RiverCentre and The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium have hosted more than 3,000 events.
The Global Studies Major takes a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the growing interconnectedness between people of, and interdependence among, the countries of the world. Courses in this major explore the causes and consequences of this multi-faceted phenomenon and examine the various responses to it. Global Studies examines change at the global and local level. In this program, humanities, social and natural science courses provide a foundation for the understanding of global change, the varied human reactions to this change, and the possibility that this change can have a positive impact on humanity as a whole. Global Studies thus covers a field of study that cannot be adequately captured by one discipline or field of knowledge. Students majoring in Global Studies gain a sound understanding of the forces shaping our world and lives so that students are prepared to participate effectively in the world they encounter after graduation, whether they decide to work in the US or abroad.
