JASM Corporate Round Table
Corporate Round Tables are a quarterly event for corporate members featuring local and visiting speakers with extensive experience in the Japanese market. It provides the opportunity to discuss topics with the speaker and other attendees, and everyone is encouraged to join the discussion by sharing stories from their own experiences of doing business in Japan. While Corporate Round Table discussions are geared towards Corporate Members, we encourage all interested parties to attend and share their experience. Enhance your understanding of the Japanese market with the Japan America Society of Minnesota Corporate Roundtable, a program featuring speakers from the Board of Directors, corporate member companies, and their colleagues from Japan.
Corporate Roundtable: “How Current Debt Issues of the West Will Affect Japan”
The Japan America Society of Minnesota is pleased to feature Mr. Yoshio Kitazawa, the President and CEO at BCP Corporation, as the speaker for the August 2011 Corporate Roundtable. BCP Corporation is an industry leading crisis and incident management solution provider. Drawing upon his long banking experience, Mr. Kitazawa will discuss current issues in the Japanese economy, touching on current world events such as the slow United States economy, the United States’ credit downgrade, the European debt problem, and the increasingly strong Yen.
Mr. Kitazawa has over 30 years of banking experience, serving as a Senior Advisor at banks including Australian New Zealand Bank, Standard Chartered Bank Tokyo, and International Bankers Association. From 1994-2001, Mr. Kitazawa was Senior Vice President and Country Head for Japan at Bank One (currently JP Morgan Chase) and General Manager at the Tokyo Branch. After graduating from Keio University, Mr. Kitazawa served for over 20 years with The First National Bank of Chicago in both Tokyo and in the US.
